1. Why Wayve

Wayve exists because of one uncomfortable fact: about 70% of clothing today is made of plastic. Polyester, nylon, spandex — petroleum-based synthetics that sit against your skin while you sweat, shed microplastic fibers into the water with every wash, and never biodegrade.

Most activewear brands are dressing you in waste and calling it progress.

Wayve makes activewear from natural fibers only — organic cotton, merino wool. No polyester. No nylon. No "recycled plastic" greenwashing (recycled polyester is still plastic, and it still sheds). Before synthetic fibers, there was cotton, wool, hemp, and linen — breathable, durable, biodegradable. We didn't invent anything new. We listened to what's always worked and brought it back.

The founder story (use this in your content): Yahli started Wayve from his apartment after learning what synthetic fabrics do to the body and the environment. He tried to replace his own synthetic wardrobe and couldn't find natural fiber activewear that was actually high quality and fit his style — so he taught himself to sew and built it. Wayve launched in late 2024, sold out five times in year one, and is still run by one person in Venice, CA.

The bigger picture: Wayve isn't just clothing. It's part of a natural living philosophy — real food, sunshine, movement, honest materials. If your audience cares about what they eat and put on their skin, clothing is the layer they haven't thought about yet. That's the story you get to tell.

Why the merino liner matters (your best talking point): almost every lined short on the market uses a polyester or spandex liner — the layer that touches the most sensitive skin on your body, exactly where you sweat most. The Quad Short's liner is 100% merino wool: naturally moisture-wicking, temperature-regulating, and odor-resistant. No brand-name tech fabric required. Nature already solved this.
